Darker Glow

After making the chest glow red I repeated what I did there for the hand, though after looking at it the glow seemed too watery, so to make it more prominent I went back into the Hue/Saturation window of the layer and increased the saturation.
This essentially makes the colours stand out more, so reds are redder, where there would be a gradual transition to a different colour trough gradient, this would make it very apparent the colour has changed. I cranked the saturation up to 100, which gives a nice strong red, and based on the hue of the red I got it was a nice dark red, and not pink etc.

Heres the result, and showing the hand glow.

The hue/saturation on the hand has bled over all the hand where it should just be a glow in his palm. The side of the fingers which are pointing down shouldn't have a red glow on them, to get rid of this, I select the mask layer for the hue/saturation and equip the eraser tool, I am going to erase parts of the mask which is causing the red effect.

The Eraser Tool as default has opacity set to 100, this means it will compeltly remove what I click it over, but to get the best effect on the hand I will make the opacity 30, so I can have a good blend otherwise there will be an unatural looking stop between the red glow and the blue of the hand. I also have the brush set to 13 so it is small and easier to work with.

Now using the erase tool I'll erase parts of the hue/saturation layer, untill the glow isn't where it looks unatural.

This the end result.
